In computer science, artificial intelligence, and mathematical optimization, a heuristic (from Greek εὑρίσκω "I find, discover") is a technique designed for solving a problem more quickly when classic methods are too slow, or for finding an approximate solution when classic methods fail to find any exact solution.
This parametric workflow encodes and generates urban massing proposals and allows their optimization and appropriate decision making.
Our tool explores a contextualised massing design-space, by generating a large number of scenari and evaluating them through the prism of key performance indicators (thermal and visual comfort, energy...).
It includes several main ruled-based typologies, that we can adapt to suits designer's requirements.
