Program : two days optional course @MS BIM, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech
Objectives :
This module proposes to give students an overview of opportunities, methodologies and resources for computational BIM, ie computational design methodologies integrated into a BIM processes.
Students will work on a parametric urban typology, implementated in a fluid generative urbanism workflow.
We will introduce bioclimatic analysis methodes, generate variations and explore results as to understand the prcocess from a performative point of view :
- build parametric models useful for the generation of BIM options (conceptual methodology)
- understand the ins and outs of integrating BIM data into parametric modeling (operational methodology)
